Kris L. MaserKris L. Maser is a shareholder in the law firm of Maser & Amundson, P.A., where she is the Elder Law department chair. Her practice is dedicated to the needs and interests of the elderly and their families. Ms. Maser has substantial experience in estate planning, medical assistance planning, planning for incapacity, and the establishment and administration of Conservatorships and Guardianships of the elderly and other incapacitated persons. She also uses effective estate planning tools such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives. A former teacher, Ms. Maser is extensively involved in education, having served as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law, Inver Hills Community College, North Memorial Medical Center, The North Women's Center, and numerous community schools in the Twin Cities area. Additionally, she has participated in several continuing education seminars for attorneys, social workers, families and other interested parties. Ms. Maser is a frequent lecturer locally and nationally on guardianships and conservatorships, planning for incapacity, estate planning and other elder law matters. She is the co-author of Minnesota Conservatorship Standards, adopted by the Minnesota Association of Guardianship and Conservatorship. She is a 1996 recipient of the Mary Alice Gooderl Award for outstanding service and active development of the MSBA's Elder Law Section and for contributing "greatly to the success of the education of [her] fellow lawyers".
