Please join us and invite some friends to attend an educational presentation featuring Elder Law Attorney, Brenna Galvin, with Maser, Amundson, Boggio and Hendricks.
Having the correct essential legal documents in play
Tuesday, November 14, 2017
Brenna M. Galvin
This presentation will highlight the importance of planning with a long term perspective in mind. This type of planning involves both financial and legal questions, and should be addressed prior to potential future care needs. The presenter will cover topics including the necessity of a Health Care Directive and a Power of Attorney, the difference between a will and a trust, and what role the court plays in making/enforcing decisions.
• Define long-term care planning and summarize the role an Elder Law attorney plays in that process
• Identify what should be considered while planning for incapacity
• List the responsibilities present in a Health Care Directive and a Power of Attorney
• Compare the advantages and disadvantages of wills and trusts
We are fortunate to have a partnership with The Waters Senior Living communities, who are hosting the venue site for this presentation off of Hwy 55 in Plymouth, as well as representation from Washburn-McReavy Chapels. We will have appetizers with beer and wine served from 5:30pm – 6:15pm.
